Our Commitment

MyWebAccess is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

As an accessibility service provider, we hold ourselves to a high standard. Our website is designed and developed with accessibility as a core principle, not an afterthought.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

MyWebAccess is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Substantially conformant" means that while we strive for full conformance, some content may not yet fully conform to all accessibility standards.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features on this website:

Navigation and Structure

  • Consistent navigation across all pages
  • Clear heading hierarchy (H1-H6)
  • Skip to main content link
  • Meaningful page titles
  • Logical reading order

Visual Design

  • Sufficient colour contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
  • Text resizable up to 200% without loss of content
  • No content relies solely on colour to convey information
  • Dark mode support for reduced eye strain
  • Reduced motion options respected

Keyboard and Assistive Technology

  • Full keyboard navigation support
  • Visible focus indicators
  • ARIA labels where appropriate
  • Tested with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver)
  • Form labels properly associated with inputs

Content

  • Plain language used throughout
  • Alternative text for meaningful images
  • Descriptive link text
  • Error messages clearly identify the problem

Technologies Used

This website is built with:

  • HTML5 semantic elements
  • CSS3 with responsive design
  • Next.js (React framework)
  • Tailwind CSS with accessibility-focused configuration
  • Radix UI accessible components

These technologies are chosen specifically for their strong accessibility support and semantic output.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas may have limitations:

  • PDF reports: While we strive to make our PDF reports accessible, some complex tables or charts may not be fully accessible to all screen readers. Alternative formats are available on request.
  • Third-party content: Some embedded content from third-party services may not meet our accessibility standards.

We are actively working to address these limitations.

Testing and Evaluation

We evaluate the accessibility of our website through:

  • Automated testing using accessibility scanning tools
  • Manual testing with keyboard navigation
  • Screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS)
  • Testing by our team of disabled user testers
  • Regular reviews as part of our development process

As an accessibility service provider, we use our own auditing processes on our website to ensure we meet the standards we expect of others.
